US Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Elk Bugs and Fuel Project in Black Hills National Forest

The US Forest Service will prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Elk Bugs and Fuel Project, which aims to reduce hazardous fuel concentrations and stand susceptibility to mountain pine beetle infestation on approximately 60,566 acres of National Forest System Land and private/state lands in South Dakota.
