NMFS Announces 12-Month Finding on Bocaccio Petition

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has made a 12-month finding on a petition to list the southern population of bocaccio (Sebastes paucispinis) as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), but has decided not to list the species at this time, citing recent actions by the Pacific Fishery Management Council.
