USDA Adopts New Assessment Rate for California Dried Prunes

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule reducing the assessment rate for dried prunes grown in California from $2.80 to $2.60 per ton, effective for the 2002-03 crop year and beyond, administered by the Prune Marketing Committee.
