Cancellation of Oregon's Designation for Official Service, Request for Comments
The United States Grain Standards Act requires official agency designations to end every three years and can be renewed. As of November 27, 2002, the Oregon Department of Agriculture will no longer provide official inspection services, prompting the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration to terminate Oregon's designation and seek public input on the need for official service in the state.
