EPA Issues Significant New Use Rule for Perfluoroalkyl Sulfonates (PFAS) Chemicals

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is requiring manufacturers and importers of 75 substances, including perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOSH) and its salts, to notify the agency at least 90 days prior to commencing significant new uses, citing potential hazards to human health and the environment.
