EPA Proposes Administrative Settlement with NEXTEL Communications, Inc. and NII Holdings, Inc. Over Clean Water Act Violations

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has entered into a consent agreement with NEXTEL Communications, Inc. and NII Holdings, Inc. to resolve violations of the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and other environmental regulations. The companies must prepare Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plans for 48 facilities storing diesel oil in above-ground tanks.
