Availability of Funds for Loan Repayment Program for Repayment of Health Professions Educational Loans

The Administration has requested $11,923,500 in its FY 2003 budget for the Indian Health Service's Loan Repayment Program, which supports health professionals in exchange for full-time clinical service in Indian health programs, with approximately 298 awards averaging $40,000 each.
