EPA Approves Utah State Implementation Plan Revision for Utah County PM 10 Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized approval of the State of Utah's revision to the Utah State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the Utah County nonattainment area, which aims to reduce particulate matter (PM 10) emissions. The revised plan, submitted by Governor on July 3, 2002, establishes emission limits for major stationary sources and motor vehicle emission budgets, following a public comment period that received support from local governments and addressed specific comments.
