ESIGN Exception Exemptions Under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act

The Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) preserves the validity of electronic signatures and contracts, but excludes certain types of transactions, such as court documents and consumer law matters. The Secretary of Commerce will review these exceptions to ensure they continue to protect consumers.
