Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Submits Revision to Seismic and Geologic Siting Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants for OMB Review

The NRC has submitted a revision to its seismic and geologic sitting criteria for nuclear power plants for review by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The revision aims to assess the adequacy of seismic design bases and geological hazard design bases for nuclear power and test reactors.
