NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 1982 Triumph TSS Motorcycles
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from Triumph Motorcycles to allow the importation of 1982 Triumph TSS motorcycles that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they are substantially similar to previously certified vehicles and can be modified to comply with the standards.
