FDA Announces Hearing on Proposal to Withdraw Approval of Enrofloxacin for Poultry

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is holding a hearing to consider a proposal to revoke approval of a new animal drug application for enrofloxacin, a veterinary antibiotic used in poultry, following a request from Bayer Corp. and a notice of opportunity for a hearing issued by the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine in 2000.
