FDA Approves Injectable Dosage Form for Cefiofur Hydrochloride in Cattle

The US Food and Drug Administration has amended its animal drug regulations to reflect approval of a new dosage form for ceftiofur hydrochloride, a antibiotic medication, for the treatment of acute metritis in cattle, following a supplemental application filed by Pharmacia and Upjohn Co.
