FDA Approves New Animal Feed Treatment for Coccidiosis Prevention

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its regulations to allow the use of a new animal feed treatment, decoquinate, to prevent coccidiosis in cattle, sheep, and goats, following approval of a supplemental application by Alpharma, Inc.
