FDA Approves New Animal Drug for Turkeys to Combat E. coli Mortality

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its animal drug regulations to allow the use of Alpharma's neomycin sulfate soluble powder in turkey drinking water to reduce mortality rates caused by E. coli bacteria susceptible to neomycin.
