Coast Guard Publishes Revised Guidelines for Merchant Mariners' Proficiency Assessments

The US Coast Guard has released updated performance measures for assessing merchant mariners' proficiency as officers in charge of engineering watches in manned engine-rooms or as designated duty engineers in periodically unmanned engine-rooms, following feedback from the Merchant Marine Personnel Advisory Committee (MERPAC).
