Coast Guard Re-Opens Comment Period for Anchorage Ground Safety Zone Rule

The US Coast Guard is reopening the public comment period for its 2000 interim rule, which established a seven-knot speed limit zone in the Tongass Narrows and Ketchikan, AK area, and redesignated the Ketchikan Harbor safety zone as an anchorage for large passenger vessels, following a nearly two-decade delay.
