US Department of Homeland Security Amends Regulations for Research Institutions to Facilitate Naturalization Eligibility

The US Department of Homeland Security has updated its regulations to include Rutgers University, Indiana University, and Harvard University as recognized American institutions of research, allowing resident aliens and their dependents to temporarily leave the US for work without interrupting their continuous residence requirement for naturalization eligibility.
