EPA Approves Part of California's Ozone Attainment Plan, Disapproves Others
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved and disapproved various components of California's 1999 San Francisco Bay Area Ozone Attainment Plan, which aims to reduce ozone pollution in the region. The plan's approved sections will help the Bay Area meet the national air quality standard, while the disapproved sections will trigger sanctions and a federal implementation plan.
