U.S. Coast Guard Introduces Temporary Regulations for Naval Vessel Safety
Following terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, DC, the U.S. Coast Guard is introducing temporary regulations to ensure the safety and security of U.S. naval vessels in U.S. navigable waters. The new regulations, issued under the authority of 14 U.S.C. 91, will establish Naval Vessel Protection Zones to regulate vessel traffic near U.S. naval vessels.
