EPA Finalizes Disapproval of California Air Pollution Control District's Revisions to State Implementation Plan

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized its disapproval of the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District's (ICAPCD) revisions to the California State Implementation Plan (SIP), which aimed to regulate visible emissions from various air pollution sources. The EPA is maintaining the existing version of Rule 401, a local rule regulating these emission sources, under the authority of the Clean Air Act.
