Duwamish Tribal Organization Declined Federal Acknowledgment

The Assistant Secretary of Indian Affairs has declined to acknowledge the Duwamish Tribal Organization as an Indian tribe, citing failure to meet federal criteria, in a decision based on 25 CFR 83.7 and 25 CFR 83.9(h)(1978).
