Proposed Finding Against Federal Acknowledgment of the Nipmuc Nation

The Assistant Secretary--Indian Affairs proposes to deny federal acknowledgment to the Nipmuc Nation, citing failure to meet federal criteria for an Indian tribe, and the tribe's petition will be reviewed by the Committee on Indian Affairs.
