US Fish and Wildlife Service Proposes Endangered Status for Rota Bridled White-Eye Bird
The US Fish and Wildlife Service proposes endangered status for the Rota bridled white-eye bird, a species endemic to the Northern Mariana Islands, due to habitat loss and degradation, avian disease, and other factors, which have led to a 89% decline in its population from 1982 to 1996.
