DEA Clarifies THC Listing in Schedule I, Exempts Industrial Cannabis Products
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued an interpretive rule and proposed regulations to clarify that tetrahydrocannabinols (THC) in any amount make a substance a Schedule I controlled substance, even if derived from non-marijuana cannabis parts. The agency also exempts certain industrial products from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) if they contain THC but are not intended for human consumption.
