U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Lists Silene spaldingii as Threatened Under Endangered Species Act

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has determined that Silene spaldingii, also known as Spalding's catchfly, is threatened due to habitat destruction, fragmentation, and competition from nonnative plant species, prompting the listing under the Endangered Species Act of 1973.
