Pratt & Whitney PW4000 Series Turbofan Engines: New Airworthiness Directive to Prevent Engine Failure

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive requiring operators of certain Pratt & Whitney PW4000 series turbofan engines to inspect and remove cracked high pressure compressor front drum rotors to prevent engine failure and airplane damage.
