Site Recommendation Consideration Process-Extended Hours for Las Vegas Science Center

The Department of Energy (the Department) has announced in a separate Federal Register notice published on October 2, 2001, that its Las Vegas Science Center will be used to receive public comments on the possible recommendation of the Yucca Mountain Site in Nevada for development as a spent nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste geologic repository. This notice announces that the Las Vegas Science Center will have extended hours to receive comments on October 19, the last day of the public comment period.
