U.S. Department of Energy Launches Contest for Low-Cost Inverter Prototype

The U.S. Department of Energy, in partnership with the National Association of State Energy Officials, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and other sponsors, is seeking proposals from qualified colleges and university engineering programs to compete in a cash prize contest for building low-cost inverters, as part of the 2003 Future Energy Challenge.
