U.S. Department of Energy Announces Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Decommissioning and Long-Term Stewardship at West Valley Demonstration Project and Western New York Nuclear Service Center

The U.S. Department of Energy is planning to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement to evaluate the decommissioning and/or long-term stewardship of the West Valley Demonstration Project and Western New York Nuclear Service Center, with input from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
