Boeing 747-200/-300 Series Airplanes to be Equipped with High-Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) Protection

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued special conditions for Boeing Model 747-200/-300 series airplanes modified by Hollingsead International, Inc. to address the lack of safety standards for high-intensity radiated fields (HIRF) protection, which could impact the performance of critical electronic systems.
