EPA Approves Texas State Implementation Plan Revisions to Reduce Emissions in Houston/Galveston Ozone Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved revisions to the Texas State Implementation Plan, which will restrict the use of certain lawn equipment and limit idling of heavy-duty motor vehicles in the Houston/Galveston area to reduce nitrogen oxide and volatile organic compound emissions, contributing to the attainment of the national ozone standard.
