FAA Proposes Update to Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 737 Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes to update an existing airworthiness directive for Boeing Model 737-100, -200, -200C, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes to expand its applicability and require additional inspections to detect corrosion or cracking of the aft pressure bulkhead. This action aims to address the identified unsafe condition and prevent potential loss of the aft pressure bulkhead web and stiffeners, leading to rapid decompression of the fuselage.
