Saab Model SAAB SF340A and SAAB 340B Series Airplanes: New Airworthiness Directive Requires Inspection and Repainting Review

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Saab Model SAAB SF340A and SAAB 340B series airplanes, requiring a one-time inspection to detect damage from improper repainting preparation and a review of records to determine if the airplane has been repainted since delivery, in order to prevent weakening of the aluminum skin structure.
