Boeing Proposes Airworthiness Directive for Certain 757 and 767 Models to Prevent Uncommanded Auto-Speedbrake Deployment
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a new airworthiness directive that would require modification of the right main landing gear and auto-speedbrake control system on select Boeing 757-200, 200CB, and -200PF, as well as 767-200, -300, and -300F series airplanes to prevent uncommanded deployment of the auto-speedbrake spoilers during flight, which could compromise airplane controllability.
