Pilatus Britten-Norman Limited Proposes Airworthiness Directive for BN-2, BN-2A, BN-2B, and BN-2T Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a new airworthiness directive (AD) that would require Pilatus Britten-Norman Limited BN-2, BN-2A, BN-2B, and BN-2T series airplane owners to inspect the inboard brackets of the elevator outboard hinge for loose rivets, structural damage, or cracks and replace any suspect bracket. The proposed AD aims to prevent the outboard elevator from becoming loose, which could reduce elevator and airplane control.
