NMFS Announces Preliminary Approval for Exempted Fishing Permit in Gulf of Maine

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has announced that it will issue an Exempted Fishing Permit (EFP) to a single vessel, allowing it to fish in closed areas of the Gulf of Maine, pending further review and consultation.
