The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Surface Mining Section (Kansas) is proposing to consolidate and revise its approved revegetation success guidelines. The amendment is intended to revise the Kansas program to be consistent with the corresponding Federal regulations and to improve operational efficiency. This document gives the times and locations that the Kansas program and the proposed amendment to that program are available for public inspection, the comment period during which you may submit written comments on the proposed amendment, and the procedures that we will follow for the public hearing, if one is requested.
