U.S. Issues Letters of Authorization for Polar Bear Hunting in Alaska's Beaufort Sea

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has issued Letters of Authorization to allow oil and gas companies to hunt polar bears in the Beaufort Sea and adjacent northern coast of Alaska, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 and implementing regulations.
