Temporary Regulation Allows IRS to Share Returns with Other Agencies

The IRS has been granted permission to share returns and return information with other federal, state, and local agencies, subject to certain conditions and restrictions, under a temporary regulation that builds on section 6103 of the Internal Revenue Code.
