NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Gulf of Alaska Using Trawl Gear
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by catcher vessels using trawl gear in the Central Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska to prevent exceeding the 2025 total allowable catch limit.
