Nuclear Regulatory Commission Confirms Effective Date for HI-STAR 100 Spent Fuel Storage Cask Rule

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed the effective date of May 29, 2001, for a direct final rule that amended its regulations to include the Holtec International HI-STAR 100 cask system in the list of approved spent fuel storage casks, following Amendment No. 2 to the Certificate of Compliance (CoC)
