U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves Revised Nuclear Waste Guidelines

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has concurred with the U.S. Department of Energy's revised guidelines for recommending sites for nuclear waste repositories and the Yucca Mountain site suitability guidelines, following a review process that began on May 4, 2000.
