Commercial Closure Imposed on Atlantic Spanish Mackerel in Northern Zone

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has implemented a commercial closure for Atlantic Spanish mackerel in the northern zone of the Atlantic exclusive economic zone (EEZ) to protect the fishery resource, following projected landings that are expected to reach the revised commercial quota for the 2025-2026 fishing year.
