NHTSA Allows Importation of Non-Compliant 1993 Mercedes Benz S Series Cars

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has made a decision to permit the importation of 1993 Mercedes Benz S Series passenger cars that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they are substantially similar to vehicles originally certified for importation in the US and can be easily modified to meet the standards.
