FDA Announces Draft Guidance on Bioengineered Food Labeling

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released a draft guidance for industry on voluntary labeling of foods developed with or without bioengineering, in response to requests from food manufacturers and as part of the Clinton administration's efforts to strengthen regulation of bioengineered foods and consumer access to information.
