Avecia, Inc. Withdraws Food Additive Petition from FDA

Avecia, Inc. has withdrawn its petition to amend food additive regulations to allow the safe use of poly(hexamethylenebiguanide) hydrochloride as a preservative in food-contact paper coating formulations, pending a future filing with the FDA.
