Department of State Requests Emergency Review and Approval for New Information Collection Form DS-158

The Department of State has submitted a request to the Office of Management and Budget for emergency review and approval of a new information collection, Form DS-158, which requires nonimmigrant visa applicants to provide contact information and work history. The proposed collection aims to gather data from approximately 2.5 million respondents, with an estimated burden of 2.5 million hours, and is set to expire on December 24, 2002, unless OMB grants emergency approval by that date.
