U.S. Government Grants Cultural Significance to Impressionist Art Exhibition

The U.S. government has officially designated a collection of Impressionist art pieces from the Musée d'Orsay as culturally significant, paving the way for their temporary importation and exhibition in the United States. The exhibition, titled 'Paris in the Age of Impressionism: Masterworks from the Musée d'Orsay,' will take place at various museums, including the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, from late 2002 to early 2003.
