Eurocopter France Model AS350B3 Helicopters: Airworthiness Directive Amendment

The Federal Register has published an amendment to Emergency Airworthiness Directive 2000-16-52, which requires U.S. owners and operators of Eurocopter France Model AS350B3 helicopters to inspect the heat shield attachment areas on the tail rotor drive shaft forward fairing for cracks and replace the fairing if necessary, in an effort to prevent in-flight loss of the heat shield and subsequent loss of control of the helicopter.
